Mental Block
I know, I know, I’ve been hiding in my underground lair. There is an upside though. Album is done. And not the album you were expecting — the other one.
Anyway, this one came together watching a friend or two at I-CON working like madmen to help keep a 6,000 person geekfest built by volunteers going. It’s got a lot of moving parts and mechanics in harmony, which is why it fits this track for me.
Album shortly. It’s all done and being mastered.

Haven’t been on tumblr a lot, or dealing with my facebook page and all that. Been doing a lot of thinking and writing. Been watching the news. Been wondering what the hell is going on in the world. Been wondering what the fuck is up with my country. Mostly been wondering how a very small number of us became so privileged that the rest of us got left behind or trampled over for their benefit in this economy.
Been watching guys in town squares. In parks. On streets. In front of offices and buildings in the rain with angry cops staring them down. Wish I was there. Wish I could stand there and stand for all of us instead of watching it on tv with the rest of us. I wish I could, but I can’t. I’m part of that 99% too. I can’t afford it.
But I can make music. I started writing this a while ago, but it came together in the last month or so. People say the whole occupy wall street movement has no message. I think it’s obvious.
Still working on this one. Think the final might be a hair mellower.
